The Freedom Toaster in Stellenbosch is situated in:

The main campus (JS Gericke) Library, next to the Neelsie in the middle of the campus. Click here for a satelite image from Google Maps.

If you miss the (bright orange) toaster by any chance once you entered the library, just ask the security staff to point you to the toaster, they are always very friendly!

If you experience any problems with the toaster, ask for Laurence at the security desk next to the entrance. I maintain the toaster over here and try to keep it as up to date as possible. Everybody is welcome during opening hours - available from our website, specifically here.

The toaster is now on the campus network, running an FTP server available at ftp://freedomtoaster.sun.ac.za, only accessible from inside the campus network. All iso images are now being kept current and up to date. Additional distros are also being uploaded, including DSL, PCBSD, PCLinuxOS, GOS, OpenGEU to name a few. Also look out for a complete Ubuntu Gutsy Repository 5DVD set under the Ubuntu menu!
